You're all being too hard on Al Gore. This is all that he's got left to do.
I hate how some "granola types" will gawk at anything to do with obtaining energy. There is some truth to what they say, but not to the frantic fanatic "sky is falling" routine. I for one, don't want to live beside a nuclear power plant. However, I could get used to living next to a windmill farm.
If you can save a mere 10% on your home's energy use, then there is more for growth without having to change anything. think about it. 80 million homes in the USA; save 10% on energy consumtion: you can have enough energy for another 8 million more homes. Not a single power plant would be added to the grid. No more buying energy from countries that are abundant in energy (ie: those relying on you to buy it). The only problem is that there would not be any more money to be made by any energy business because you used less of their product. Don't forget that "business controls media" and there will be untruthiness in all aspects of it.
