What management? A new sort "religion" has taken over. Doze a fire break BEFORE a fire? No! it looks icky. Thin a forest before drought and beetles? Verboten! that's logging and that's evil. Create buffer zones around populated areas? OH MY GAIA NOOOOOOOOOO!!!

As for me, I think that I shall never see a tree as lovely - as when its turned into freshly cresoted railroad ties.
