There's a restaurant on the pier at San Clemente (don't remember the name of it). It's got a good view of the Surf Line.

The Kelso depot has the restored lunch counter in it.

There are a couple of restaurants at the east end of Rawlins, Wyoming, with a good view of the Overland Route (leave the kids in the McDonald's Play Place, and hang out by the window).

There's a Denny's on the west side of Cheyenne with a great view of the UP main.
