It costs $4.75 a gallon here in my part of SoCal, and that still hasn't deterred people from clogging the freeways up in my neck of the woods either (which in turn is more fuel-inefficient)

I'm temped to try out some surface streets which will get me away from the congestion, but people with GPS and smartphones are probably clogging those up, too...

By the way, I think the mere collusion of this infastructure going offline definately warrants the title of anything from "price gouging" to "conspiracy theory". Whatever it is, if the candidate who probably considers 47% of the American public to be peasants gets in, we'll see more of this nonsense...
