...and oh yeah - Let us not forget, it was Bill Clinton that put banking deregulation on steroids, signing into law the repeal of ALL the rest of the protective regulations put in place by FDR, to prevent another domino collapse of the financial industry; touting it as a way to attract more investment in america by foreigners.

And only seven years later - Viola, a new depression - er - I mean "Great Recession"; caused by unrestrained speculation fever, first in Real Estate; then because of the panic promoted actively by the chairman of the FED Bernake, into oil futures.

And let's not forget who started financial deregulation in the first place - in 1978. Uh - that would have been Carter, for similar reasons, an already floundering economy - in his words, a malaise.

A malaise caused by years of hyper-inflation and skyrocketing taxes ("tax bracket creep" - indeed a clever way to raise taxes by stealth) - Inflation caused by exploding the national debt during the Vietnam war, and paying for it with funny money "printed" out of thin air.


Oh crap - we have come full circle! ---- AGAIN

When will we ever learn?
