I won't comment about where CSX ads are appearing but part of the motivation to run such ads could be in response to the Children's Investment Fund; a sweet-sounding name for a corporate raider that owns about 4% of the stock. An interesting example of how much these outsiders understand the business, just before CSX's most recent (very favorable) earnings came out, the CIF was calling for major restructuring of the company. UTU glommed on to the theme and called for CEO Michael Ward's ouster.
