Here's the safest and most economical way to do it. Go to Davis and park there. It's free and safe. You can get a permit from the agent inside the depot. Board your train there and that is the best way to do it. I've left my car there no problems for up to a week. If you already have your ticket just ride a capital train over to Sacramento. Only problem if you're riding the CZ east you may have a problem finding available parking on weekdays as the commuters fill up the lot every day. Weekends are no problem with available parking.
