Yes, I am aware that is not South Junction proper but a lot of people don't know South Junction from the North Pole so it suffices as a generalized description.
The BNSF cop? Well, as the old saying goes, I have stuff in my refrigerator older than him. He was somewhat taken aback at the number of people who knew about the trip and said he thought it was confidential information. He was also surprised at the number of scanners, again assuming confidentiality on the radio. He said his main objective was to keep everyone safe.
