As usual, GREAT pictures, Drew. And, once again- thanks for sharing! Question: I once had a neighbor when I lived in Torrance, CA who is a railfan and started taking SoCal rail and streetcar pix in the late 1940's. He once told me that the SP was more prone to use the air horn than the whistle when equipped. How often did you hear these excursion engineers use the air horn instead of the whistle?
