GrandLuxe train from Denver

Amtrak train #5 (CA Zephyr) departed Denver this morning with 7 GrandLuxe cars on the end. This is one of the movements of the cars to the Bay area for the Chicago/SF Bay area trips that will be going on thru early January. This was a special itinerary trip w/ passengers in the former AOE cars. Might be some interesting photo opportunities for those that are interested...?

No Dome on this set. The consist is the regular Zephyr, then the GrandLuxe cars in this order: Four sleepers - Santa Fe, Monte Carlo, Denver and Montreal. Then the club car, Seattle; the diner, Chicago and the crew car Monterey brings up the rear...

These cars will be on Amtrak #6, Nov 2nd, headed to Chicago...
