The Pacific Locomotive Association who owns and operates the Niles Canyon Railway does not own the two SP f-units that are currently stored in the NCRY Brightside Yard. The two locomotives are owned by the GGRM. The f-unit we own is the WP 918 which is fully restored. We have people who would like to work on the SP units (many of the same people who worked on the 918) but since we don't own them, we won't touch them.

The GGRM has announced that they are selling their ex-commute GP9, SP 3194, to generate funds to put to the F-unit restorations.
