They probably want to use these bridge spans on one of the projects they have in the works to fill in the single-track gaps east of Jefferson City on the line between Kansas City and st. Louis. That's a completely 2-track railroad with the exceptions of the bridge over the Gasconade River and the bridge over the Osage (or is it the Merrimac???) River. whatever the correct river names, these are bottlenecks. Using the Booneville bridge steelwork would save a lot of money and time over having new spans made.
