The NdeM northerns were akin to NYC's in name only. NdeM dropped one "a" and called their engines "Niagra" as opposed to "Niagara." That, and the fact that they were all built by Alco are what they had in common. As Tom mentioned, NdeM's were much lighter, in fact by 42 tons, and BP and driver sizes not close.
