Here are some old pictures from the Othello - Taunton - Beverly area that you might enjoy. Captions are under each picture.
A boxcab has an eastbound freight in tow without diesel help. Taken from the lawn of the west home at the Taunton substation, 1961
E39 set and diesels with a westbound, between Othello and Taunton, 1961. I was trying to get across the tracks to the sunny side, but got tangled up in a barb wire fence and didn't have time to SAFELY cross in front. I was lucky to get this picture!
This picture of an eastbound at Beverly was taken by my father, likely in the early 1950s.
Another of my father's pictures. Othello, probably about 1954
Othello, 1962.
I sure miss the MILW electrics (and my father who passed away in 1997). Glad that I got a chance to see them in action. Thanks, Dad!
