I believe Nor Cal which met on Sat evenings at 3rd and Townsend was established as early at 1940. Walt Sievers was Pres. as I recall. Some may recall Charlie Smallwood, Dick a talk skinny st car motorman...a NWP locomotive engineer. .. It was a cigar smoky event.. which would end up with a burger on Mkt St and perhaps a ride out to the beach on the new PCC cars..
