IIRC, the new continuous welded rail section on the NWP north of East Washington Street (along Lakeville Highway) in Petaluma is 136 lb. Not sure what the contractors are installing on the SMART trackage through Rohnert Park, as I haven't seen it personally. Could very well be 115 lb. CWR - and, if so - that is more than ample for the volume of freight and passenger traffic and tonnage that the line will see when it is fully operational for both. I don't have an NWP / SP track profile in front of me at the moment to confirm the rail poundage for the former NWP mainline rail through Rohnert Park.
