Thanks, fellas! I believe the 'brown cover' is the second (better) edition? And I'd like to clarify my goal, so to speak. Beyond seeing the pix, I'd like to obtain somthing that could be incorporated into a slide presentation, so I'll be looking into prints that I can purchase. If anyone can suggest a source along those lines, I'd like to hear from you. So far, I'm investigating the CSRM and the National Archives.

I'm pretty sure Harre W. DeMorro was out taking pictures of the P.E., but I don't know how early; he might have grabbed some shots out there if he was shooting the San Bernardino Line. Anyone know how to get in touch with the caretaker of his collection?
