Former Narrow Gauge Engine House Goes to Pot

The former Arcata & Mad River Railroad engine house in Arcata has become the city's official medical marijuana grow shed. It housed the odd-ball 45 and a quarter inch narrow gauge locomotives until 1942. For fifty years it was the service bay and car lot for a Ford dealership. "Retail" store for the new product will be the nearby former Chevy dealer. Now Arcata downtown culture will finally get a full head of steam!
