Edit: The "Riverfront" cars (the new "red" cars) were used on both the Canal Street and Riverfront lines (my bad); some might be in service already and all will be returned to service as they are rebuilt. The St. Charles line's Perley Thomas cars were first used on the Canal Street line after Katrina, then the Riverfront line when it reopened (there were three more Perley Thomas Cars - which used to run on the Canal Street line before it closed in 1964 - and three Melbourne W-2 cars that were purchased for the Riverfront line when it opened in 1988; they were also damaged and I don't know if they're running yet or have been/will be repaired).
