Interesting thread. I recall visiting a sick SPMW employee at Fell & Baker in 1968, about the time the facility was closed. The interior decor was some shade of yellow and the general feeling was stepping back into the 1920's. The fellow I visted had been in declining health since working on demo of the Oakland Mole.
