WURR and Court Hammond's caboose

I understand from a knowledgable source that WURA is placing a lien on the caboose now parked in the Elgin railyard and anything else that Mr. Hammond owns. He owes WURA for making good on unpaid bills with various businesses and gosh knows what else.

Additionally, the WURA board met yesterday and will resume the Eagle Cap Excursion Train runs this year with the Friends of the Joseph Branch.

At the meeting, a group of citizens voiced support of a trail alongside the rails, and the board is going to revive a study that was done several years ago with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department.
