Word has just arrived this week from the Western Railway Museum that the LONG-awaited historical treatise on the KEY SYSTEM that the late Vernon J. Sappers started MANY years ago, is finally being published as of December 1, 2007...
The Book will cover the complete history of the KEY, with its myriad numbers of streetcar lines, vast real estate holdings and so MANY other entities large and small.
"John Signor" has had heavy influence in putting this publication together for Signature Press.. It has been LONG overdue. From what we are told, the Book will be HUGE (thick) as "Vernon" had chapter after chapter of history and photos of a company that was truly dear to his heart.
