Thank you for posting the links. The accounts and descriptions in the NS article, if correct, are questionable. How do you derail 18 cars going into emergency at 7 MPH?

Anyways, I should probably clarify my comment to include UDE's causing or resulting in derailments. I've never seen FRA/NTSB/internal accident reports pointing to either one. Nevertheless, certain oldheads perceive the threat as being real.
