Old Rod Diridon & Co. are probably still hoping for a site in San Jose for their engine, roundhouse, etc. Unfortunately, if I recall correctly, recently defeated mayoral candidate Cindy Chavez was their main supporter within the city council for this endeavor. With her out the door I doubt they have much pull with the city regarding potential sites. Parking and parks usually trump rusty train equipment on the priority list. Niles might be their best option if they can sort out the personality conflicts that will no doubt pop up.
