As a local (nearby town) resident, I have to respond to that dig at Tacoma. The mill smell is, for the most part, long gone, and the Tideflats industrial area doesn't see much crime, whether day or night. Of course there are places and times in Tacoma, as with nearly any city in the U.S. these days, where you'd be better off asleep in bed than out on the streets.
