Here is the obituary for Richard Wright, a hobbyist and railfan who wrote one of the greatest books on the 'SP Daylight train' ever !!

Richard was born in Burlington, VT to Richard & Vera Wright
He passed away at home at the age of 75. He graduated from
Santa Monica High School in Ca. His passion for trains started
at a young age and continued throughout his life. He served in
the US Air Force 92nd Bomb Wing Sac out of Fairchild AFB WA.
When he returned to civilian life he went back to his passion
for trains where he opened a hobby store and produced HO passenger
trains and began his first book on the Coast Daylight train 98-99
published in 1970 with 4 others to follow. He moved to Sparks, Nevada
in 1977 after passing through on a train. Where he worked in the casino
industry until retiring in 1987. He was preceded in death by his loving
wife Donna Wright 1997, and his parents & sister Nancy. He is survived by
his sons, David, Richard Jr, and Steven, bother Robert & his family. Richard
always said " I've accomplished everything I set out to do."
Rest in Peace Dad-- we love you and will miss you dearly !
No funeral will be held
