Gentleman, you really need to read what you have posted. I merely posted current activity on the NWP instead we end up with a discussion on First Amendment Rights. Money pit aside, a coalition of public agencies and county officials including Legislatures from state and Federal governments have thought that it is in the PUBLIC interest to see the NWP running again, so its getting PUBLIC MONEY to restore service. Simply put, if the previous operator had not stopped service when the line was still operable the railroad would still be open, at least on the South end. Public money will to repair the 1997 flood damage on the North end. It seems every time I post, someone is offended. If you do not like your tax money spent on the NWP then contact your State Senator, U.S. Congressman, CTC, Caltrans and City and County Officials in Sonoma, Marin, Mendocino and Humbolt Counties. Put your money where your mouth is. We have heard all this before!
