Are you sure you're talking about the same boats? All the NWP/SP original woodwork, etc. was removed by Black Ball Lines when the boats first came up to Puget Sound. The 1980s rebuild by WSF replaced the formica and plastic installed by Black Ball and was, in my opinion, a nice historic replication. It wasn't a full restoration, but these are the only ones in the fleet which have a historic feel to them at all. You should have seen them before the '80s rebuild!
