Last Train Over Raton?

With the future of Raton Pass very much in doubt, does anyone know when the shutdown will take place? I rode over Raton on the Chief from Chicago to LA on Sept 20, 2008 which happened to be my aniversery. It was a beatiful ride over the pass and somewhat exciting across Kansas with some kinked rails at high speed. BAAAAMMMM!!! Might be a good time for some charter trains etc. I would like to ride it again one last time before its too late.
