I am happy to answer this query. The 2253 has been sold to an industrial customer in Manitoba and is heading to the shop at Usk WA for some electrical work. We delivered her, and the 1616, to the BNSF on Wed 11/21/2007. 1616 came from the Tri City & Olympia railroad in Olympia last summer. It is ex BNSF 1616, exx BN 1854, exxx NP 228.
We are now using former Lake County (OR) GP7 1617 as our power on the Geiger Spur. It is former BN 1617 exx CB&Q 261. It is a decent runner and a good unit and I believe will serve our needs nicely. She handled 8 loads of steel on her first trip with no difficulty.
