So much vehemence about Marin and Sonoma.
What I don't understand is why the pro-rail crowd doesn't seem to mind
when a public rail agency breaks the law and acts solely in the interest
of private investors, rather than the public.

Surely you must be joking. The NCRA owns 15% of Island Mtn quarry. The NWP Co. has submitted documents saying that the quarry is critical to their revenue stream and on the Board of the NWP Co. is the President of Evergreen Natural Resources who has filed a permit to quarry
Island Mtn.
And, the NCRA wants the Sonoma public to believe that trains will operate only from
Willits south?
Don't you think this is a public deception? (Think WMD in Iraq)
Either way, it's the basis for the lawsuit ...and probably another one
after the NCRA stamps their ridiculous EIR "final" next spring. There ought to
be a law and there is. It's called CEQA. And until the NCRA produces
a LEGAL document, they won't get the rights to start operation.
