Yes, paid quite a few visits to Frank's. Usually on my way to or from Santa Ana Canyon, Cajon, etc. I was living in El Toro (now "Lake Forest") in those days, and E.T. had a pretty decent hobby shop of its own. Not a huge inventory, but what they did stock was good stuff. Most of the money I earned through weekend and summer jobs in my early teens got spent on products from Athearn, Atlas, Floquil, etc. Any money that didn't end up on my 4x8 layout went across the street to Tower Records. A quarter century later, most of the models are long gone, but I still have (and still play) all those vinyl LPs.
