The reality is, Ozark Mountain has been retained as a broker. Wasatch Railroad Contractors did the initial evaluation and inspection. The equipment is still owned by the Holm heirs and remains on family property. The tank car was scheduled for scrap for some time, even far before the posting of the sale. Monte received the car for scrap purposes.

Now; this discussion on cost. This train set is NOT over priced. No where close to over priced. In fact, I am confident that we will look back in ten years and say to ourselves that we gave the train away. The steam engine is brand new......it really is! It has very few miles, everything on it works, it is 100% complete and the boiler is in outstanding shape! Four of the steam industries best consultants agree......this engine needs no work. Do a current from 4 and run it! (paint it too and maybe some cosmetics) The question I have for those who think the price is too high.....is $700,000.00 for the 1744 fair? How about $600,000 for the 18 and the 20? Buy the Monte engine, put 200,000 in to it and you have new, low service long lasting locomotive for less than the other two that have significant miles.......so what is the standard for fair price and who is it that thinks this stuff is over priced?
