Just think again, if the JNR(Japanese National RYs) would have been able to purchase the MILW between Tacoma/Seattle and StPaul and electrfied with double track segments as they had planned. With the coal grain and double stacks running today it would have been an incredible RR. MILW LINES WEST was the shortest route between the Pacific NW Coast and Chicago.

There was another group interested in the purchase of LINES WEST and I believe some of these folks are connected with the MRL today.

Sorry I strayed from the original thread a wee bit but the MILW was my passion as it was a number of other emplyees.
