Railway could be boon for county

"The idea of building a railway system between Humboldt Bay and the upper Sacramento Valley has been around for a long time.

A group from Eureka, the Land Bridge Alliance, met with city and county officials and private individuals on May 15 in Red Bluff to promote that idea anew.

Alliance board member Bob Martin of Red Bluff is the local coordinator and he believes the east-west system would be a boon for Tehama County and surrounding counties."
