Thanks for clearing up the Port of Tacoma/Seattle track & trail angle. I checked back with my source, and I had confused 2 topics. He had also mentioned that the Port of Tacoma may be looking at being involved (= spend money ?) in Stampede Tunnel improvements for BNSF container train movements. Port of Tacoma owns some trackage in the dock areas, operated by Tacoma Belt, which is owned by the City of Tacoma. If Seattle acquired the Snohomish trackage, who would foot the repair bills?
