Speaking of trivia, 20M is only 20 thousand (By convention, the "M" is a Latin numeral here, for 1000). If you want to say 20 Million, you'd say 20MM.

There are several good comparisons to be made between the POTB and the NWP. In the old days, both had a lot of lumber traffic. Both run through rugged country, prone to slides and washouts. Both are remote, and both took some lumber trucks off twisting, winding, narrow highways. Today's POTB really doesn't have all that much traffic, and if restored, today's NWP wouldn't either, because of the changed nature of the timber economy. Certainly there's no justification in keeping either line open based solely on the level of lumber traffic in today's world, but political and social reasons do get factored in. I'm sure service will be restored on the POTB, but maybe not until next Spring.
