Three former ODOT RDC's enroute from Elgin, Oregon to the IN&P in Idaho, entrained 16th, 17th and 18th behind 15 loads, were alleged to be cause of the derailment that occured late Saturday night near Durkee, Oregon. The 19th car overturned and there was a lot of mayhem behind that car. The RDCs were rerailed by midday Sunday. There is some speculation that the cars might have been improperly placed in the five locomotive, 140 car, 8,000+ton train. No word on the condtion of the RDC's.
