Yeah, I noticed that, too. Some of the MP's must've been in pretty good shape, relatively speaking. Amazes me that they're getting rid of them, considering the shortage of four-axle power. For example, for the first time ever, West Oakland's been using a SD38-2 robot (actually, it's a "neutered" SD40-2) since Roseville wasn't able to provide a four-axle.
Last time I checked, it looked like the switchers in the Roseville deadline have been retired, so I suppose they'll come up for sale eventually. Some have issues. For example, the Y1298 (ex-SP2700) has continuous GRA.
