I recall that before Modoc Northern took possession of the two SD9's, a tremendous amount of mechanical work (and cash!!) went into them by a rebuilding company back east. Are these units still in pretty decent shape? Obviously they haven't been run in some time.

Modoc Northern should have leased something like GP38-2's, GP39-2's, or GP40-2's. A lot of money was wasted on those SD9's.
