Amazing amount of NAFTA truck traffic coming down through Eastport. LOTS of cattle trucks with Alberta plates. These guys really push the 65MPH speed limit down the current 2-lane US-95 (but then, 99.99% of vehicles displaying Alberta plates will blow by you like you are standing still). The loaded trucks ALL turn right to go through Rathdrum to avoid the Hayden/Coeur d'Alene gauntlet but more importantly, to continue west on ID53/WA290 to Barker Road to avoid the weigh scales at the State line (any truckers, feel free to chime in at this point--photographic documentation can be provided at any time).
