I suspect the W.S.P. is aware of the problem. Most scale facilities in the state are easily bypassed on local roads, which leaves the roving commercial inspection units as the last line of defense. Perhaps WA - DOT should take a lesson from California with regards to scale placement. In my 10 years of truck driving down there I saw precious few facilities that could be bypassed; most of those required an insane amount of extra miles. There were also hefty fines to pay when you were caught, something else Washington isn't too smart about...
BTW, how is the Hauser re - fueling facility working out ??? Did BNSF fix the leaks ??? Are they still planning on moving the crew - change there from Spokane ???
