I believe there could be condors around and probably some other large endangered species, but I don't think hsr mostly in tunnel is going to be a big problem for them. I gather the wind turbines can be.

That must have been the famous Barry Zoeller. I still cannot grasp why the Tejonies are so anti-hsr. The line would be mostly pretty close to the freeway, not exactly a picture postcard spot.
