Like the comment in the newspaper story about how turning the line into a trail would fit with Gov. Terminator's call to fight climate change. Fighting climate change by turning tracks to trails, what a concept! Lets see, all the construction equipment needed to scrap track and pave trail, enviromential mitigation requiring more earth moving, hauling off scrap, building outhouses and installation of safety lighting, upkeep (state workers don't wack weeds, pick-up trash etc from a bike)----yeah, if a million bikes a month use the trail (and users don't breath or fart) they might offset the climate change gasses needed to build and maintain the trail. Keep on trucking!!
