The railroad did not suffer any damage in the recent storm that hit the area. In fact it helped wash sediment down out of the rip-rap where the washout repair is underway. The second phase of the project was completed some time ago. It is sounding like the new potential owners are going to finish the trackwork so service to Parkdale will resume. As an employee of the railroad I am not willing to say for sure but the sale sounds like it is basicly a done deal.
