I have listened to conversations of four people (3 from North Dakota and 1 from Reno) whom have lived the Bakken Oil Field rush recently. They all confirm a big time housing shortage and jobs of all sorts are plentiful especially in the support business's such as restaurants and merchandise. One person said McDonald's is paying $25 an hour! But the flip side, it's a wild west boom town mentality....food and housing is expensive ($2000 per month for a 2-bed 1-bath apartment). Good luck!
