Back in the 60s or 70s, can't remember which, the MILW built an automobile facility at Kent,WA. We used to hall autos from Chicago on 261 and 263 to the west coast. There even was a time when we had a Chevy job that came from the Jainsville GM plant to Watertown,WI.. The job hauled auto racks and parts with covered wagons. It left Jainsville,WI and ran via Madison to Watertown and setout at Voltz WB siding for the XL special(261) to PU. Allthese cars were for the Kent facility.

Does the Kent marshalling facility still operate and if so, is it run by UP or BNSF?
