Crime is way down in California (this is a simple fact that you can go look up anywhere if you've got the will to be informed).
California has strict gun laws already.
These are NOT political statements. They are simiple facts. Sure, parts of Oakland are extremely unsafe. So are parts of New Orleans and Houston (where there are no real gun laws). Big whoop. Everywhere has some truly unsafe pockets. That's the reality of the world.
