Line was near the bottom of MOW budgets, but did have 136 pound stick rail with some ribbon in place. Minimal cheap ballast in place.

Because of the dry conditions of that part of California, snow did fall, but not really a problem that nose plows couldn't handle. More very cold and windy in winter and blazing hot in summer
