I've lived here in the Chi-town area since early '77.
The sad thing is that my kid, a recent college grad in a new job, can't afford to live in any of those concrete monoliths lining the South Branch.
Instead he will become a drone, crawling outta bed, hauling his ass to the nearest METRA station, riding the tin tube into the city; reversing this routine 9 hours later.
A crappy routine performed by 10's of thousands a day.
